The National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) announces Gerald Ginsburg Repertoire Prize

The Herman, Rebecca, and Gerald Ginsburg Foundation is thrilled to announce a new partnership with The National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) with to establish the Gerald Ginsburg Repertoire Prize. This annual award will honor performances of Gerald Ginsburg’s vocal works at the National Student Auditions. The prize includes a $1,000 award for students in the Post High School Classical categories who perform at least one of Ginsburg’s compositions in the YouTube, semifinal, or final rounds.

In addition to this award, NATS will make Ginsburg’s songs freely accessible to all NATS members. Thanks to the foundation’s efforts, these scores will be available in both PDF and Sibelius formats, allowing for transposition as needed. This initiative aims to introduce young singers and their teachers to Ginsburg’s music, ensuring his legacy continues to inspire future generations.
